The Grand National will take place today with 34 horses confirmed to compete in the main event at Aintree. In 2023, the number of horses participating in the Grand National was reduced from 40 to 34. Last year's champion, I Am Maximus, ridden by Paul Townend, is set to compete again. However, 11 other horses have been withdrawn. The company behind George's Dining Room and Bar, a restaurant owned by ex-Manchester United player Ryan Giggs, was in debt to the tune of nearly £500,000 when it went under, it has been confirmed. The restaurant, located in Worsley, Salford, shut its doors in February and subsequently entered voluntary liquidation. The establishment was launched in 2014 by Giggs and his friends Kelvin Gregory and Bernie Taylor.
