A new report has shown ambulances are spending more time ramped outside emergency departments now than they did five years ago. Vice-President of the Australian Medical Association Julian Rait says the new report reflects the reality of public hospitals not being able to cope with the demand. “Most unfortunately of course, in some situations we hear of tragedies where people die waiting in the back of ambulances before they get admitted,” he told Shane McInnes, filling in for Tony Moclair.

A third statement & second in 24 hrs from the AFL re: Schultz concussion. Yet through it all Laura Kane continues to avoid the media. No press conference. No interviews. NOTHING. It’s TOTALLY inadequate. Media 101- Get ahead of the story. Right now, the AFL is miles behind it. https://t.co/M3XdLQwxUf

Who lied in the first instance? The umpires by saying they didn’t see the player? The umpires coach to Laura Kane to protect the umpires? Laura Kane in her initial statement to cover the inadequacies of umpires not stopping play? The cover up is always worse than the crime…

Umpires privately disputed the AFL’s initial statement, even before Caro aired the vision: “The umpires did not see the injured player at the time so play continued.” They believe they clearly articulated what they saw with the umpire’s coach post-game, as is standard

How the hell did the AFL fail to check this vision? A concerning incident in which all 4 umpires said “we didn’t see it” and you don’t go back to the video & ask “how did all 4 miss this?” And this just a week after the AFL failed its due diligence with Willie Rioli Staggering

"The statement we released was incorrect, but we were given the wrong information from the umpires." The Agenda Setters have obtained exclusive umpire audio when Lachie Schultz was concussed on Thursday night. https://t.co/mIijK8JkgB
