    In Blue Prince, what is quite possibly 2025’s game of the year, at least in the puzzle genre, managing resources is quite important. Not only do you have to watch the amount of footsteps you have left — essentially the game’s form of stamina or health points — you’ll also have to conserve gems, keys, and coins. But what if you just happen to be extremely wealthy on a certain run in this puzzle roguelike and end up with no keys? Or if you want to just even out the number of gems and keys you’ve got?

    Days after beating Blue Prince, I am still playing. I have a few final mysteries to uncover, within and without the confines of the ever-changing blueprints. The puzzle strategy game asks its players to pay a lot of attention, as every corner could hold a key or some sort of clue not to be overlooked. This week, it finally arrives on PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass, and releases on PC and console for everyone else.

    No major spoilers ahead. In my dreams, I began to see puzzle clues and shapeless antagonists. I would clock out of work in the evening, and sink into another day inside Blue Prince, drafting a series of ever-changing rooms inside a blue-hued mansion to uncover more secrets. Offline, I began to see the game in everything.

    After years of playing on the Nintendo Switch and other consoles, it’s finally time for a refresh. The Nintendo Switch 2 recently confirmed a June(ish) launch date and a price of $449.99, although it’s pausing pre-orders in the United States until Wednesday as the company assesses the impact of tariffs.
