    Paris, Tenn.–Henry County Trustee Randi French has been awarded Tennessee Trustee of the Year during a Tennessee Trustee Association conference last week at Paris Landing State Park. At the Lodge at Paris Landing, 90 rooms were booked and trustees from all over Tennessee enjoyed a week of learning, boat tours of the lake, shopping in downtown Paris and visiting other local establishments. During this time Randi was awarded the Tennessee Trustee of the Year for the whole state of Tennessee.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Military Department, in conjunction with the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency and more than 30 other partnering agencies, is conducting a disaster response exercise throughout Tennessee, May 12-18. Named “Vigilant Guard 2025,” the exercise gives participants the opportunity to activate and employ their response plans to improve mission command, relationships, and interoperability among federal, state, and local agencies.

    MURRAY, Ky. – Murray State University hosted commencement ceremonies for spring and summer 2025 graduates on Saturday, May 10 at the CFSB Center. A total of 1,654 degree applicants from 38 states and 16 countries comprised the graduating class including doctoral, specialist, master’s, baccalaureate and associate degrees. Each child can receive one breakfast and one lunch each day, including weekends and must be present to receive meals. All meals are grab-and-go for quick and easy pickup.
