At 37, Samantha Murrell was the picture of health. She hiked daily and enjoyed other outdoor activities like paddleboarding and mountain biking near her home in Montana. Murrell was also proactive with her health and stayed on top of preventive exams. She diligently checked for moles that could indicate the beginnings of skin cancer, did breast self-exams because of a family history of breast cancer and stayed current with OB-GYN appointments to catch any early signs of reproductive cancers.

As a senior at Florida A&M University, Sharon Harris had been juggling a full course load, three jobs and other demands of college life when she started to feel sick. She visited the doctor and went to the hospital emergency room for gastrointestinal problems, and healthcare providers (HCPs) thought she might have Crohn's disease. The medication she received didn’t help, but she powered through to make it to graduation.

The NEW November 2024 PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next Monthly Holiday Calendar that our friends at Capstone create for us each month is here! In this post, I share more about the PebbleGo Monthly Calendars. I love making paper copies of these to share with our teachers and kids. They hang them up in their classrooms and hang them in our library too. I also share them online through social media and as an image in Google Classroom or Seesaw.

We love celebrating Crayola Creativity Week every year. It's such a wonderful week to come together as we celebrate the creativity in everyone. Crayola Creativity Week is right around the corner on January 27-February 2, 2025. As shared on the Crayola site, Kids are naturally curious. They ask why and how? They imagine. They create. When kids create, they solve problems and think up new solutions. Young creatives need to be nurtured, so that their originality shines.

For almost eight months, Jenna Scott had the ideal pregnancy. Then the bleeding, dizziness and abdominal pain started. Scott, 29, feared something was wrong with her baby, but her OB-GYN told her everything was fine after her appointment. Her baby could be sitting on her organs or perhaps she was experiencing typical pregnancy-induced hemorrhoids. The abdominal issues were explained as routine pregnancy aches and pain. Having never been pregnant, Scott didn’t know what was normal.
