Confining light at subwavelength scales is of crucial importance in both science and technology. (1) Optical resonators, particularly those involving surface plasmon resonances, have emerged as essential components in versatile nanodevices due to their ability to provide strong near-field enhancements and small mode volumes. (2,3) Despite their promising potentials, two concurrent loss mechanisms, i.e., intrinsic dissipative and extrinsic radiative losses, appear to be a bottleneck.
