TEXARKANA, Texas -- A virtual golf venue recently celebrated its grand opening in Texarkana. Fairways Golf, 3101 Kennedy Lane, features state-of-the-art golf simulators, allowing players of all skill levels to practice and compete. It has 1,800 golf courses to choose from, including well-known courses, three bays and a private room. The venue also features an on-staff golf coach. Fairways Golf will provide clubs for guests to use during their session, co-owner Cody Marler said.

TEXARKANA, Texas -- East Texas Food Bank Texarkana Resource Center is celebrating a milestone. It's been one year since the center opened. "We are excited to say it's been an amazing year," manager Shan Parks said. Since opening in May 2024, the Texarkana Resource Center has served more than 1.2 million meals, close to a million pounds of produce fed over 16,000 households, including almost 7,000 children, according to Parks. "Weekly, we serve anywhere from 600 to 800 people," she said.
