At the end of the third quarter, the Nets trail the Hawks 103-74. Tosan Evbuomwan has 14 points and Tyson Etienne has 13 points. Brooklyn has been unable to stick with Atlanta since the second quarter, but a 32-point deficit requires them to make a run that they've yet to do.

At halftime, the Nets trail the Hawks 69-45. Jalen Wilson has 12 points and Tyson Etienne has 10 points. That second quarter was a better effort from Brooklyn on both ends of the floor, but they have a big deficit to make up. Drew Timme already has a career-high with 6 assists.

I give Tyson Etienne all the credit in the world for continuing to play hard despite having to guard Trae Young for most of the game. Young is such a tough cover, but Etienne refuses to be discouraged. Etienne also has 10 points of his own so it's not like he's playing passively.

Jalen Wilson is on fire from 3 right now as he's 4-of-5 for his 12 points in the second quarter. That has been a welcomed sight for the Nets team that struggled to do anything right on either end of the floor in the first quarter.

Part of the issue for the Nets defensively is that almost every player is getting lost when their man goes backdown for a layup. The Hawks are playing about as free-flowing as you can right now.

The Hawks are beating this Nets pressure almost every single time. Trae Young is one of the best passers in the NBA, but Zaccharie Risacher has been a problem.

At the end of the first quarter, the Nets trail the Hawks 33-14. Tyson Etienne has 6 points and Ziaire Williams/Tosan Evbuomwan have 4 points each. Brooklyn is shooting just 19.2% from the field so it has been a slow night on the offensive end. Zaccharie Risacher has 13 points.

Hawks confirm that Trae Young will be available tonight at the Nets. Young had been listed as probable with the Achilles tendinitis.

Nets HC Jordi Fernandez would not say whether Cam Johnson, D'Angelo Russell, or Day'Ron Sharpe would see the floor again this season. Fernandez would only say that the trio would not play tonight against the Hawks. Brooklyn has just 2 games left after tonight.

Nets say that Cam Johnson (lower back contusion), D'Angelo Russell (right ankle sprain), and Day'Ron Sharpe (right knee sprain) are OUT Thursday vs. the Hawks. Thursday and Friday is the last back-to-back of the season for Brooklyn as they will be visiting the Timberwolves Fri.

At the final buzzer, the Nets beat the Pelicans 119-114. Trendon Watford had 22 points and 5 assists while Drew Timme had 16 points and 9 rebounds off the bench. New Orleans made things interesting in the fourth quarter, but Brooklyn had their 20-point lead to thank for the win.
