Dubai: Come weekends, and Dubai-based Aditya Goswami rises “super early”. “I go for a jog on the open beach and then for a swim in the ocean,” he says. Following a functional breakfast, he then hits the gym for a full body workout. “That’s on Saturdays. The workout is high intensity and involves a lot of endurance. I exercise with a group of people for around 45 minutes,” he says, adding that on Sundays, he goes in for strength training for an hour in the afternoons at the same gym.

Dubai: The General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) in the UAE has clarified that only three lotteries are authorised in the country. They include The UAE Lottery, the first and only licensed lottery operated by The Game LLC in the country, and the long-standing authorised airport lotteries Big Ticket and Dubai Duty Free. The nearly three-dacades-old airport lotteries continue to operate under GCGRA as per the Federal Law by Decree that established the authotity.

Dubai: Skywatchers in the UAE can get set to witness the last meteor shower of the year, the Geminids Meteor Shower, on December 13. The Dubai Astronomy Group (DAG), which is organising a special viewing event at the Al Qudra Desert, said under ideal conditions, the colourful Geminids can deliver up to 120 meteors per hour. The Geminids Meteor Shower is an annual celestial event that occurs when the Earth passes through the debris trail of the asteroid, 3200 Phaethon.

Dubai: The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai on Sunday announced the opening of a three-lane bridge linking Sheikh Rashid Road to Infinity Bridge, as part of Phase 4 of Al Shindagha Corridor Improvement Project. The project spans Sheikh Rashid Road from Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street intersection to Falcon Interchange on Al Mina Street, covering a total length of 4.8km.
