The Onondaga County District Attorney’s office released a list of 33 indictments for December 2024. The bulk of the charges were for drug/weapons possession and drunk/drugged driving. One person was indicted for murder, one for attempted murder and two for rape. Here’s a look at some of the people indicted. Syracuse, NY -- Forty new citizens from 19 different countries were welcomed to the United States today in a ceremony held at the James M. Hanley Federal Courthouse in downtown Syracuse. U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York Magistrate Judge Mitchell J. Katz presided over the ceremony in which the new citizens recited the Oath of Allegiance. Here are the new citizens and their country of origin.

The arrests added this week were dated between Dec. 13, 2024 and Jan. 12. Those charged were from 18 to 65 years old. Several new daycare providers, an equine seller, and beauty service providers filed business certificates. Three businesses filed to discontinue operations - two in Onondaga County and one in Cayuga County. Rosebud is the sweetest, bravest kitten. When she was rescued as a tiny kitten, she had already suffered an injury, but you wouldn’t know it by the way she takes on the world today. She is missing the very tip of her tongue and part of her lower jaw, but she has no trouble eating or drinking, now that she has fully recovered from the surgery that was needed to help her heal. Her tongue sticks out of her mouth a little bit most of the time, but that just adds to her cuteness.
