Player: Josh ProctorSchool: Maranatha (CA)Position(s): CIFHeight: 6’5″Weight: 225 lbs. Bats: RightThrows: RightSummary: Proctor has long limbs, but stays compact through his swing well and can generate plenty of power. He has plenty of bat speed and can really lift it especially to the pull side, but it does also lead to him swinging and missing too often.

Player: Derek CurielSchool: LSUPosition(s): OFHeight: 6’2″Weight: 175 lbs. Bats: LeftThrows: LeftSummary: Curiel pulled his name out of consideration heading into the 2024 MLB Draft, where he has an outside shot at being a day one guy. He has been a guy who has been in front of scouts for a long long time as he attended powerhouse Orange Lutheran and was a regular on the showcase circuit and Team USA.

Player: Pico KohnSchool: Mississippi StatePosition(s): LHPHeight: 6’4″Weight: 200 lbs. Bats: LeftThrows: LeftSummary: A highly regarded prep prospect in the 2021 draft, Kohn has a strong commitment to Mississippi State and went undrafted as a result. After a solid freshman season out of the bullpen in 2022, he missed the 2023 season due to Tommy John Surgery and then threw fewer than 30 innings in 2024.

Player: Rustan RigdonSchool: VanderbiltPosition(s): INF/OFHeight: 6′Weight: 177 lbs. Bats: BothThrows: RightSummary: Positionally there is still plenty to be worked out as saw time all over the diamond for Vanderbilt his freshman year, with the bulk of the starts coming in the outfield. He has plenty of speed, which translates well out there but he has solid hands and could certainly play second too. Ultimately, I believe he ends up as a center fielder long term where he can be a quality defender.

Player: Griffin EnisSchool: Corinth (MS)Position(s): OFHeight: 6′Weight: 190 lbs. Bats: RightThrows: RightSummary: Enis has a pretty mature body, and the tools play along with that. He has plus or better speed with a plus arm that would be more than enough in right, but he is a rather safe bet to stick in center.

Thought I had today, what if they made a rule where you cannot transfer to another school in your conference in a given year? So can’t jump from SEC school to another in SEC. Would we see more high schoolers start at mid-majors to make sure they jump to the RIGHT power school?
