Wendell Cruz-Imagn Images If there is one positive about the Atlanta Braves this this year, it is that if they face a quality opponent not from the NL West, they typically do pretty well (10-6 vs non NL West teams with a .550 or better W% this year.)They also are now 4-0 against the rival Mets this season after last night’s dramatic 3-2 victory to start the series in New York.

Rhona Wise-Imagn Images Two truths against for the Atlanta Braves currently. Yes, they have played significantly better baseball over the past two weeks compared how they played the previous three weeks. However, they are still not playing to level that they need to play for several weeks in a row to truly have a good shot at the postseason.

Jordan Godfree-Imagn Images On Monday, the first update for the 2025 All-Star Voting was released. For the Braves, currently, only Ronald Acuna Jr. is among the top getters at his respective position among Braves regulars. It is a bit surprising that there are not more Braves listed, especially Matt Olson at first base. Hopefully, as we get closer to time, a few more Braves will emerge as potential options to make the All-Star, especially if Atlanta can start to play well this week.

Dale Zanine-Imagn Images The first week of June for the Braves was one of the worst the franchise had experienced in a decade. This past week, they bounced back with a 4-2 record. However, after Sunday’s 10-1 loss to a team on pace to be one of the worst in baseball history, it feels as if very little positive momentum was created. Both offense and bullpen were up and down all week, despite excellent efforts from the starting staff.

Benny Sieu-Imagn Images On Monday, the Braves were finally able to put together one of their most complete games of the season. Chris Sale was sensational, the offense showed of its power potential, and the bullpen did well (with what little it was needed) in a 7-1 victory over the Brewers. While the Braves have had plenty of struggles as of late, finally getting a win has to be a good feeling. Hopefully, this will the first of many wins this week for Atlanta.

RT @b_outliers: Oh my fucking god they literally event new and bullshit ways to lose

The worse thing about all this for the Braves is that they just continue to find the most gut wrenching ways to lose. Losing on a wild pitch with two outs in extras after yesterday’s meltdown is about as cruel as it gets It just feels like losses are inevitable right now
