ARLINGTON — So begins the longest road trip thus far of the Texas Rangers’ season. And, dare we say, that may be a fine thing? The Rangers have been a better offensive team away from Globe Life Field this season than in it. They’ve slashed .223/.287/.335 for a .622 OPS at home. On the road, though, they’ve slashed .221/.280/.380 for a .660 OPS. The difference is in the power numbers.

By Shawn McFarland - The Dallas Morning News (TNS) ARLINGTON, Texas - Two truths can exist in the same realm: The Texas Rangers have backed off of right fielder Adolis García, because they want the best for him and the best for the club. The latter has become a large priority, though, as the Rangers have leaned further into meritocracy in an attempt to save their season before it's too late to do so. Everything we know about Luke Jackson’s hand. https://t.co/3pB3fM7DxZ

The key to a broken no-hitter and an increasingly rare one-run win? Maybe a little early batting practice. https://t.co/hgUopC986a

Some more numbers: - Mahle (1.47) and Nathan Eovaldi (1.78 ERA) both rank within the top five leaguewide. Only team with two in the top 10. - Rotation's 3.00 ERA is the third-best in baseball and second-best in the AL behind only KC (2.97). - 16 wins by a starter are T-4th

Tyler Mahle's 1.47 ERA is the second-best in baseball and is a hair better than Houston's Hunter Brown (1.48). Both are slated to pitch in this weekend's series between the two teams but not against each other.
