(FOX5) / WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump plans to sign an executive order Thursday calling for the shutdown of the U.S. Education Department, according to a White House official, advancing a campaign promise to eliminate an agency that’s been a longtime target of conservatives. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity before an announcement. Trump has derided the Department of Education as wasteful and polluted by liberal ideology.

(FOX5) - Lee Canyon Ski Resort says this March has been a miracle for their ski season — with 50 inches of snowfall over the last two weeks and thousands of visitors heading to the mountain to shred that fresh powder. “It’s nice when Mother Nature helps out, and it’s really nice when it happens early in the season, but I will gladly take it in March over nothing at all,” said Lee Canyon Marketing Coordinator Johnny DeGeorge.
