    Ohio farmers often struggle with high levels of stress, poor mental health, and barriers to affordable health care. The Ohio Farm Bureau wants to help bridge this gap by becoming the latest state to let the bureau offer health coverage sold directly to farmers and family's in their network. Senate Bill 100 would let them do so, by letting the bureau directly sell coverage, outside of state health insurance regulations. It unanimously passed the Ohio Senate and is now in the House.

    Young’s Jersey Dairy will use plastic eggs for its annual Easter egg hunt — a first in 42 years. The dairy is located in Yellow Springs in Greene County. The popular event typically uses real, cooked eggs. But with higher prices and less supply, Young’s has moved to offer a more affordable option. "This has been a free event since we did it in the early '80s. So we weren't going to start charging and we weren't going to short change the amount of eggs," said Young's "CIEIO" John Young.

    The discount retailer, Grocery Outlet, opened its newest store in Englewood on March 13. The store on Taywood Road marks the seventh Grocery Outlet location in Ohio. Englewood’s new Grocery Outlet store is owned and operated by a mother and son team, Mayram Jones Hamilton and Eric Jones. "What makes grocery outlet unique is that it's an extreme value retailer. So it's main focus is delivering as much value to the customer as possible," Jones said.

    Honda – one of the biggest employers in the Dayton region – will have its latest technology tested in space. Testing will be performed on Honda’s high-differential pressure water electrolysis system at the International Space Station. It’s part of Honda’s vision for a regenerative fuel cell system for outer space. The hope for the system is to offer advanced energy storage that could support human life on the lunar surface.

    A federally funded program has been connecting food banks with fresh and local food in Ohio since 2022. Ohio Community, Agriculture and Nutrition, or Ohio CAN, was expected to assist food banks and pantries through 2027, but those funds are getting cut at the end of June. "The Local Food Purchase Assistance Program, or LFPA, which we call Ohio CAN here in Ohio; Community, Agriculture, and Nutrition, was funded initially through Build Back Better American Rescue Plan Act dollars.
