He was a United States Navy Veteran and an avid farmer and sweet eater. He retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation with over 30 years of service as a foreman. He enjoyed time on the river, spending time with his friends and family, and would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed help.

BURGLARY ON WHITEHALL ROAD ON TUESDAY

On May 12, 2025, a burglary occurred on Whitehall Road in Crossville between 2:00 AM and 11:00 AM. The 66-year-old victim reported that his shed was unlawfully entered through forced entry (cut lock and a key stolen from his key ring). Stolen items included a DeWalt air compressor, a Devilbliss air compressor (total value $400), 20 sheets of 4×8 OSB ($900), and 100 8′ 2x4s ($800). A possible suspect had stayed at the victim’s residence the previous night and left before he woke up.
