Introduction Coronary heart disease (CHD) is a significant cardiovascular ailment with a worldwide prevalence ranging from approximately 4.6% to 9.2% (Mensah et al, 2019). It is responsible for the deaths of approximately 7 million individuals annually (Ralapanawa and Sivakanesan, 2021), making it one of the primary causes of mortality on a global scale.
