SEOUL, April 19 (Yonhap) -- Former Interior and Safety Minister Lee Sang-min returned home Saturday after an overnight police interrogation over his alleged involvement in former President Yoon Suk Yeol's brief imposition of martial law late last year. The former minister appeared before a special police investigation team at around 2 p.m. Friday as a suspect in the ongoing probe. He was released about 18 hours later at approximately 7:40 a.m. Saturday.

SEOUL, April 17 (Yonhap) -- South Korean movie theaters experienced a sharp decline in attendance and revenue in March, as the lack of a major hit resulted in a failure to draw crowds, industry data showed Thursday. According to the Korean Film Council, local cinemas sold 6.44 million tickets in March, down 45 percent, or 5.26 million tickets, from the previous month. Their revenue also plunged 46.8 percent to 62 billion won (US$38.5 million), down 54.6 billion won from February.
Han Kang to release first book since Nobel win

SEOUL, April 17 (Yonhap) -- South Korean author Han Kang will publish her first book since receiving the Nobel Prize in Literature last December, her publisher said Thursday. The essay collection, titled "Light and Thread," will be released next Thursday by Moonji Publishing Co. It marks the ninth volume in the publisher's ongoing essay series and shares its title with Han's Nobel lecture, delivered in Stockholm, ahead of the award ceremony.
