1. IntroductionRecent years have witnessed a surge of interest in tackling combinatorial optimization problems in various real-world industrial contexts, such as the steel manufacturing companies referenced in [1,2,3] and the manufacturing industry mentioned in [4,5]. This work investigates a two-machine group scheduling problem, where both the sequence independence setup times between groups and the transportation times between machines are considered.
