The Adventure Zone: The Suffering Game is the newest release in the TAZ Graphic Novel series, a book series spun from their first iteration of the story, through playing DND for a podcast. I’ve loved this podcast since I first heard it, and it’s incredible to relive and re-experience the story with a fresh new look and some changes to the story after time has elapsed.

I had the pleasure of seeing Hadestown live in the West End on March 3rd, 2024. It was in the Lyric Theatre – a beautiful and ornate setting for this play, and thankfully, came equipped with the brilliantly rotating floor that’s perfect for this show. Hadestown is a musical that I’ve been listening to since about 2018, and unfortunately for me – I discovered it right after it had ended its first London debut with its test run of shows, and have been waiting for it to return ever since.

The current childcare system in Wales is complex. We also know there are plans for more free provision to be delivered to different groups of children in different ways through the expansion of both the Childcare Offer and Flying Start childcare. With access to this childcare depending on eligibility, it can make it difficult for parents and carers to understand and navigate their entitlements.

With the prospect of home ownership a distant dream, many young people opt to rent a room in a shared flat or student accommodation. While tenancies can be short, research shows that a poor home environment can very quickly become a source of stress, and that is the last thing you need, when studying or starting out in a new job. Paint First things first; come up with a “colour story” and try to stick with it. A good way to do this is to pick three colours.

In her second Annual Report as Commissioner, Rocio Cifuentes gives her verdict about what 2022-23 has meant for children’s rights in Wales and what more needs to be done. Members of the Senedd will have their say on the wide range of policy issues raised in the report, when it is debated in Plenary next Tuesday (17 October).

Having been invited to watch RuneSical as it came online, I thought the opportunity would present itself as a fun morning. My experiences with RuneScape are fairly minimal – I remember my uncle playing it in the early 2000s, and by “remember” I mean more of “vaguely recall the low-poly, very triangular shapes of the game”, and my partner enjoys grinding the game while watching a movie, or a TV show.

Ricky Montgomery’s new album, Rick, landed on shelves and streaming services today. This is an album I’ve been looking forward to since his last album, Montgomery Ricky, and a handful of singles (such as some edits of songs from his first album, and singles from Rick such as Don’t Say That, Eraser, and Boy Toy) came out.

Child poverty has been a persistent challenge for successive Welsh Governments, and the rising cost of living has only exacerbated that challenge. The Children’s Commissioner for Wales says that poverty is “the biggest issue affecting children in Wales, and tackling it effectively is the Welsh Government’s biggest task”. Ahead of the Senedd’s Equality and Social Justice Committee starting its inquiry into child poverty today, what does the latest data tell us about child poverty?
