In another blow to BioWare's creative core, a director has left the studio after 18 years of tenure- and not just any director, but Corrine Busche, the head of the recent Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The news has left many worrying, especially with the rumors going on about how EA could be shutting down BioWare or some of its studios for good. The information came from Jeff Gubb of Giantbomb who took to X/Twitter to confirm Corrine Busche's departure.

It appears Sony is taking some of its most expensive lessons to heart because now, the multimedia giant has opted to cancel something that could've potentially crashed, a live-service game. In fact, Sony actually canceled not just one, but two live-service games it was working on. The report came from Bloomberg's Jason Schreier.

Apart from the Switch 2, one of Nintendo's recent highlights has been stomping emulators through aggressive lawsuits against indie programmers. A new statement from Nintendo's legal team, however, indicates that the gaming industry giant is well aware that emulators are technically legal. That didn't stop Nintendo from suing these "legal" emulators anyway and winning the lawsuits.

Billionaire and "top gamer" Elon Musk has recently come under scrutiny after several gaming communities accused him of cheating in Path of Exile 2 and/or Diablo 4. Some of the presented evidence points to how Musk was paying someone to play Path of Exile 2 for him so he could take credit for the achievements. Well, Elon Musk is now certainly aware of such accusations and even has a cheeky albeit sarcastic response for anyone accusing him of cheating in Path of Exile 2.

2024's first breakout game was and amazingly enough, it's only in early access. An incomplete game taking the world by storm like that is likely due to one thing: it's a Pokemon clone and everybody loves Pokemon. Palworld's huge success, however, cast a large shadow: Nintendo, Pokemon 's owner, has struck the first blood with a patent infringement lawsuit that's still currently ongoing. It would be naive to say that nobody expected such an action from Nintendo, of course.

Actor and comedian Bill Burr recently went on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! TV Show where he was, of course, interviewed by Jimmy Kimmel in his talk show format. Burr, however, has some interesting insights regarding the LA Wildfire since he was one of the fortunate survivors in the region amid the raging disaster, and the comedian even jokingly implied that Luigi Mangione might be the answer to the home insurance aftermath for the LA Wildfire.

One of the latest among those developers is none other than Obsidian 's Josh Sawyer who now thinks that smaller games might be better and could be the new paradigm after the deluge of huge open-world games in the past decade.

Liberty City is one of the most beloved fictional locations in Grand Theft Auto since it's really just Rockstar Games' version of New York. Hence, a group of modders recreated the city in GTA 5's more updated game engine. However, Rockstar Games had to swoop in and demolish this Liberty City recreation mod for GTA 5 after it gained too much popularity. The sad news came from the mod's creators themselves, namely nkjellman.
