A recent study places a price tag on all the time you spend commuting to work — and a pair of Phoenix-area cities are among the costliest in the nation. Both Peoria and Gilbert landed among the top 25 cities in the U.S. with the costliest commutes, according to a recent study from ChamberofCommerce.org. Peoria landed at No. 23 on the list with an annual commute cost of $7,622.98; Gilbert ranked No. 24 at $7,353.07.

Three students at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University have launched a streaming service that provides play-by-play for Phoenix Rising FC soccer games. Cronkite students Peyton Gallaher, Ryan Sykora and Jaden Taylor founded the Valley Sports Streaming Group after meeting each other in fall 2022.

Eleven alumni from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University were named to the Sun Devil 100 Class of 2023, which celebrates the achievements and successes of some of the university’s most successful graduates. Every year, the ASU Alumni Association recognizes graduates who own or lead organizations from around the world that demonstrate innovation, growth and entrepreneurial spirit. Multiple alumni can be honored from the same company.
