What is already known about this subject Volumetric absorptive microsampling allows for self-collection of blood to monitor immunosuppression after transplantation. To date, samples have been obtained from a fingerstick. An upper-arm sampling device is also available but has not been clinically validated. Data suggest people prefer dried sampling, but evaluations are limited to a few questions related to pain.
