On 26 February 2025, the European Commission published the Omnibus Simplification Package, a set of proposals designed to streamline key EU sustainability regulations, eliminate redundancies, and reduce administrative burden and compliance costs for companies — while preserving the EU’s ambitious environmental objectives. If adopted in the currently proposed form, companies will have more time to comply with the CSRD reporting requirements and the CSDDD supply chain due diligence obligations.
