Somehow it’s June already and we’re nearly halfway through 2025. It’s been a busy year release wise and shows no signs of slowing down either. As always we’ve got ten more new releases to add to our Discovery playlist on Spotify and Apple Music, including two tracks we had premieres for earlier in the week. Tasmanian singer-songwriter Maddy Jane takes home our Track of the Week with her powerful new single “Thylacine”.

AU favourites Howlite return this week with their sublime new single "Everything Will Happen", the title track of the alt-pop trio's forthcoming third EP. Set for release tomorrow, we're excited to bring you this exclusive premiere of the single a day early. "Everything Will Happen" follows on from the release of singles "Still I Find" and "Haircut" in 2023, and sees them once again teaming up with producer JP Fung.

For the final time this month we’ve updated our Discovery playlist on Spotify and Apple Music with ten new tracks, including one we premiered the music video. Singer-songwriter Alex the Astronaut is our Track of the Week this week with their new single “If You Have To Go” which dropped this morning. The track is from Rage And All Its Friends, the freshly announced and highly anticipated EP – due for release on November 22nd.

For the last time this month we have updated our Discovery Playlist on Spotify and Apple Music with ten new tracks, including two we exclusively premiered. This week our Track of the Week is “Sunshine Getaway” from American rock ’n’ roll singer-songwriter JD McPherson. “Sunshine Getaway” is the first single from McPherson’s forthcoming new album Nite Owls, which is out September 27th on New West Records.

Last month saw Australian musician and writer Ziggy Alberts release sun memos, his second collection of poetry. The collection, was self-published, through his family founded independent imprint Commonfolk Publishing. It follows the release of Alberts’s first collection brainwaves, which was released in 2021.
