It's just a five minute drive from the middle of Newcastle and an 'affluent and buzzing' suburb on the outskirts of town, has been named one of the best neighbourhoods in the area. And, if you're lucky enough to live there or visit on a regular basis, you'll know it's easy to see why. When it comes to Newcastle's most famous suburbs, you'd be hard pushed to find one that beats Jesmond.

It's only been open a few months but a pub on the banks of the River Tyne has already proved really popular, with it getting plenty of people in to catch some rays in its sun trap of a beer garden and also attracting more and more attention each weekend for its huge Sunday dinners.
