The clash of the two top teams in the League makes it the perfect match-up for the final. The Unicorns have been somewhat inconsistent with the bat despite losing just once in the League. The Freedom have been superbly consistent with the bat and have a powerful bowling attack. Washington Freedom’s Travis Head has scored 54, 54, 53, 56 & 77* in his last 5 innings. Washington Freedom’s Glenn Maxwell hit five sixes in his 54* off 23 balls against the Unicorns.

The Phoenix looked weak in their opener, while the Spirit put up more of a fight in their opening loss. It could be a close match, but I'm backing the Spirit to take this one. London Spirit’s Michael Pepper has scored 34, 120*, 27 & 20 in his last 5 innings. London Spirit’s Liam Dawson scored 45* off 19 balls against the Southern Brave. Birmingham Phoenix’s Moeen Ali has scored 59 & 103 in his last 4 innings. Birmingham Phoenix’s Liam Livingstone scored 54* & 36 in his last 3 innings.

The Unicorns have had a super season, losing just once, but their top-order has started to stumble. The Super Kings have been strong all season, despite two losses, and their batting has been excellent. Their bowling has been solid without being spectacular, but they have supported the batters superbly, which is why I’m backing them for the win. Texas Super Kings’ Faf du Plessis (375 runs, ave 53.57) tops the Major League Cricket runs list.

England and the West Indies have almost a hundred years of Test cricket competition between them, with the West Indies dominating from the 1950s until the year 2000. England have been the stronger side in the last 25 years. England won the first Test between the sides at Lord’s in 1928, winning all three Tests of that series by an innings.

Both sides are unbeaten in this World Cup and both have two of the best bowling attacks in the world. The batting on both sides is also power-packed, but India’s top six has performed consistently throughout the World Cup, while the Proteas' top-order form has been patchy. South Africa have the power to beat India, but India are on form and should clinch the title after a tough fight in the final. India’s Rohit Sharma (248 runs) is 3rd in the T20 World Cup runs list.
