“Holidays are revolving around sports right now, especially in the football world with them sometimes playing,” Simone Biles once told US Weekly. This has proven true for the G.O.A.T. and her NFL husband, Jonathan Owens. They happened to spend Thanksgiving in Detroit when the Chicago Bears locked horns with the Detroit Lions. Nothing can beat representing your nation on the world’s biggest stage. Yes, it takes a lot more than just talent and skills. Putting in numerous hours of training and dedicating every waking minute to the sport. And who better to attest to this than Swedish swimming sensation Sarah Sjöström? The dust may have settled on the Summer Games, but we certainly can’t seem to move past the quadrennial event. Nothing can beat watching your favorite athletes compete on the world’s grandest stage. However, Great Britain had something monumental to celebrate this year. During the 1908 London Games, GB nabbed the highest medal haul with 146 medals.
