Beyond a cell spatial density focusIn jurisdictions reluctant to implement decarceration strategies, we recommend an approach to standards that move beyond a sole focus on cell spatial density levels. This approach will require consideration of three key factors that when combined increases risk of airborne infectious disease transmission in prisons: cell spatial density, ventilation, and a prison’s healthcare delivery.
