MethodsThe study is approved by the internal review board of the Sint Maartenskliniek and the regional medical ethics committee Oost-Nederland (2022–13719, NL80641.091.22). Any modifications of the protocol will be notified via an amendment. The trial has been registered on Clinicaltrials.gov (NCT05605912). This study will be conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki (64th WMA General Assembly, Fortaleza, Brazil, October 2013) and the Medical Research Involving Human Subjects Act.

OverviewBody weight support systems are commonly used for gait training. A new breed of devices for gait training are soft exosuits. To optimize rehabilitation outcomes, it is important to gain deeper insight in the effect of these support systems on gait. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of a body weight support system and soft exosuit on dynamic balance and knee and hip kinematics during gait in people with incomplete spinal cord injury.
