Soft Play have written an open letter to Keanu Reeves, inviting the actor to join them during their Coachella 2025 performance. The punk duo are scheduled to perform on the Sonora Stage during the festival’s second weekend, where they hope Reeves might join them to play bass on their track ‘John Wick’. The song, which appears on their 2024 album ‘Heavy Jelly’, runs for 82 seconds and draws direct inspiration from Reeves’ action film character.

Soft Launch have shared their new single ‘Dinosaur’, released via Good Form Recordings/Parlophone. The Anglo-Irish art pop quintet’s latest offering follows their 2024 singles ‘Cartwheels’, ‘Piano Hands’, ‘In My Bed’ and ‘Milkshakes’. The track arrives alongside a video directed by Marcus Prouse Jr. and Nathan Ivor Barlow, filmed in Cavan, Ireland. The visual follows a lone figure caring for a dinosaur egg while working as a sign holder to make ends meet.

The 1975 are facing a £1.9 million lawsuit from the organisers of Malaysia’s Good Vibes Festival following their controversial performance at the event last July, according to reporting from Variety. Future Sound Asia, the festival’s organisers, have filed court documents in the U.K. High Court against the band and its individual members, including frontman Matty Healy. The lawsuit stems from the band’s performance at the 2023 festival, following which the the festival was shut down.
