1 INTRODUCTION Contemporary practice of implant dentistry identifies the optimal design of the prosthesis as a key to long term peri-implant tissue health and successful clinical outcomes (Mattheos, Janda, et al., 2021; Rungtanakiat et al., 2023). The surgical and restorative paradigm is also evolving towards comprehensive pre-intervention design of all components (Mattheos, Vergoullis, et al., 2021), minimal invasiveness and immediacy, shorter treatment and chairside time.
