WORTHINGTON — This week’s Peak Performer is Worthington High School senior Hannah McNab. McNab is a shortstop for the Trojans and is one of the team’s best hitters. She has a .545 batting average so far this year and hit her first career grand slam in the season opener against Waseca. McNab played tennis at WHS and is involved in band, choir, swimming and National Honor Society. After high school, she plans to continue her softball career at Minnesota West.

Apr. 15—FIRST TEAMKade MoffittJuniorEdgertonMoffitt was the catalyst behind a resurgent season for Edgerton. The Flying Dutchmen won 11 games, five more than the previous season and 10 more than the season before that. The junior guard averaged 23.6 points, 9 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 2.3 steals per game en route to an all-Red Rock Conference nod. Moffitt is quite the talent at his position with quickness to drive to the basket along with the ability to create his own shot off the dribble.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington High School softball team was swept by Tri-City United in a Saturday doubleheader at Centennial Fields. In game one Saturday, the first three innings went scoreless until Tri-City United got on the board in the top of the fourth. The Titans led 2-0 through five innings before they scored three runs in the sixth. WHS finally scored in the bottom of the sixth when Tayler Nickel scored on a fielder’s choice groundout from Macie Mahlberg.
