(Montel) Kinect Energy’s bidding error in the Finnish spot market may be the most expensive such mistake to date in Europe’s power market and could have cost the company up to EUR 40m, experts told Montel. The Norway-based firm said it had sold on average 5,787 MW for all hours in the day-ahead auction for Friday, which amounted to half of the estimated consumption in Finland.
