1 INTRODUCTION Success of a restoration is largely determined by its color match with adjacent teeth or restorations.1 The quality of this color match is highly correlated with the magnitude and direction of color difference between them.2 Color differences among the anterior teeth can significantly decrease smile attractiveness.3 Visual judgment remains the most used method of evaluating color in dentistry.
