    6m agoMarch 24, 2024 Defence Minister Richard Marles says the Albanese government had “no reason” to believe a re-elected Donald Trump would not be supportive of the AUKUS pact, declaring that he was confident Australia can work with “whoever the American people choose” as President. Mr Marles said when it came to a Trump presidency there was “no reason to have any sense that it will be anything other than supportive” due to the unanimous backing across the US political spectrum.
