Elon Musk’s Starlink satellites will supply wi-fi to train passengers in the north of Scotland for the first time in the UK. ScotRail will trial the technology in six trains that operate on the Inverness to Wick, Thurso, Kyle of Lochalsh, and Aberdeen services. The rail operator said the six-month pilot was a first for the UK for onboard passenger wi-fi and, if successful, could be deployed in other routes.

Marks & Spencer has confirmed some customer data was taken in the cyber-attack that hit its systems three weeks ago. Since 21 April the British retailer has been dealing with a cyber incident that has forced it to shut its online orders and take some of its system offline. It is understood the attack has caused the chain to lose millions in revenue. M&S said some customer information was accessed during the breach, including people’s names, numbers, and home and email addresses.

Ofcom has launched a probe into two pornographic websites for a suspected breach of the Online Safety Act (OSA). Itai Tech Ltd Ltd, owner of site Undress.cc – a free AI-powered tool that removes clothes of individuals in images - and Score Internet Group LLC which runs the site Scoreland.com, are being investigated after they failed to provide the regulator with details on their age checks.
