A video in which one member of Irish rap trio Kneecap appears to shout “Up Hamas, up Hezbollah” has been referred to British authorities to assess whether they break UK terrorism laws. The video, which was taken during the group’s performance at the O2 Forum Kentish Town last November, was referred to the UK’s Counter Terrorism Internet Referral Unit yesterday (April 22).

Following its long-awaited vinyl release, Ethel Cain’s debut album Preacher’s Daughter has entered the top ten of the US Billboard 200, making her the first trans artist to achieve this feat. The critically acclaimed album failed to chart when it was initially released back in 2022, but has since grown in popularity. Spiking in sales after to the recent vinyl pressing, Preacher’s Daughter sold an equivalent of 39,000 units between April 4 and April 10, marking Cain’s most successful week to date.

In 2002, a year eight student managed to blag a laptop from his parents in order to help him with his homework. The computer came pre-loaded with rudimentary music software and the young boy was enthralled. He began taking the laptop to youth clubs in east London where he learned how to produce instrumentals, record vocals and connect with likeminded kids from across the city.

In the run-up to making debut album WITH A VENGEANCE (WAV), south London DJ and producer SHERELLE was a self-described “hot mess”. She’d had to cut off a few toxic friends. She wasn’t eating enough. The original copy of the project was lost forever when her bag was stolen in Antwerp (“That’ll go down as the worst 30th birthday of all time”). And, to top it all off, she’d been traumatised by a dodgy seafood restaurant experience.
