Clear Channel Outdoor has teamed up with five Houston-area counties to use 54 digital billboards to count down to hurricane season, which is now weeks away. The digital billboards are in Montgomery, Harris, Waller, Galveston and Fort Bend counties and went active with a countdown clock May 1. The service is provided free by Clear Channel Outdoor through its Gulf Coast Emergency Communications Network. This program is specific to the Houston region.

"Letter carriers are in the communities they serve every day and often come face to face with a sad reality for far too many, hunger," states a news release from The National Association of Letter Carriers. "Each year on the second Saturday in May, letter carriers across the country collect non-perishable food donations from customers.
