There the team finished first against Douglas and the Buffalo junior varsity team in points, and won six of the nine individual events as well as two of the three relay events.

    By Sonja Karp, NLJ Sports Editor The Lady Dogie wrestlers competed in a huge, highly competitive tournament in Moorcroft Friday and Saturday, where three of head coach Shaide Bowthorpe’s crew brought home hardware and three more came one match short of doing so. “It wasn’t our best weekend, but we still had some girls place, which was good,” Bowthorpe said.

    By Sonja Karp, NLJ Sports Editor The Lady Dogie wrestlers competed in nine matches over two days last weekend, finishing fifth out of 10 teams — and were top three among Wyoming schools — at the Jerry Quinlan Memorial Tournament in Casper on Friday and Saturday. Head coach Shaide Bowthorpe’s squad soundly defeated Wright, Kelly Walsh, Douglas and Thunder Basin on Friday as well as Natrona on Saturday. They lost to Sheridan on Friday and Moffat Co., Colorado, Sturgis and Pinedale on Saturday.
