    A federal judge on Thursday blocked the Trump administration from dismantling AmeriCorps in two dozen Democratic-led states, another blow to President Donald Trump’s efforts to shrink vast swaths of the federal government. The ruling from U.S. District Judge Deborah Boardman, a Joe Biden appointee, came after a coalition of 24 states and the District of Columbia sued the administration in April, accusing the Department of Government Efficiency of illegally gutting the volunteer agency.
