Professor Thang was a highly respected leader in anaesthesia in Vietnam, and very well known also outside his country, in particular for his involvement in regional anaesthesia and pain management initiatives. Born in Hanoi in June 1958, Professor Thang studied at Hanoi Medical University where he also completed his residency in 1984.
