Families of those harmed by Covid vaccines told the UK Covid Inquiry they were forced to support each other during the pandemic because there was no other help. Kate Scott, who represents the group Vaccine Injured and Bereaved UK (VIBUK), said they felt they were "almost being pushed into the shadows during the pandemic". The inquiry also heard from a victims' group in Scotland which raised concerns that the vaccine had been rolled out too quickly, and that safety had been sacrificed for speed.

The UK's drug safety regulator is asking doctors to be alert for patients who may be misusing obesity injections, such as Wegovy. It follows reports of some people who are not obese becoming sick, after using the jabs for weight loss. The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) stresses that the drugs are only meant for treating obesity and diabetes.

They should continue to do so - and cannot donate sperm - until three months after they have stopped taking the drug.

A vaccination programme to protect newborn babies and older people against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is being rolled out in England, Wales and Northern Ireland on Monday, following a similar scheme in Scotland. RSV is one of the common viruses that causes coughs and colds in winter, but it can cause severe and sometimes life-threatening breathing difficulties. For the first time, women who are at least 28 weeks' pregnant and elderly people aged 75 to 79 will be offered the vaccine.
