    A lawyer for Timothy Burke, the journalist indicted over leaked Fox News footage, admitted in a court filing Monday that he used ChatGPT and other AI tools to write an error-filled legal brief. Last week, Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle said a filing by Burke's lawyers contained "significant misrepresentations and misquotations" and demanded an explanation. On Monday, the lawyers, Michael Maddux and Mark Rasch, said the errors happened because of Rasch's research and edits.

    Claudia Engelhorn, a daughter of a German pharmaceutical tycoon, claims she was duped into handing over $10 million to her former attorney Erik Bolog — and alleges that his former law firm looked the other way while he pocketed the cash. The heir has been litigating for months against Bolog and the law firm, Whiteford, Taylor & Preston. The dispute is over the "gift" Bolog says she gave him as thanks for helping her win a $130 million case in Monégasque and Swiss courts during the pandemic.

    WilmerHale, one of the law firms targeted in Donald Trump's campaign against the white-shoe legal establishment, said Tuesday that a government agency suspended security clearances for two of its lawyers. Paul Clement, a well-known appellate lawyer representing WilmerHale, said in a filing that the two lawyers received letters on May 9. The agency, which was not named, pulled the security clearances because of Trump's executive order against the firm, according to the filing.

    Tesla told Austin workers on its Model Y and Cybertruck lines to stay home for the week of Memorial Day, three workers told Business Insider. The break is unusually long, the workers said. Production lines were up and running during the same period last year, they said. The electric-car maker notified employees earlier this week. Workers, who are paid hourly, were told they could either take paid time off or come in for cleaning and training, but would not be working on the production line.
