The EPB Board has approved a new initiative to keep Chattanooga on the leading edge by adding a quantum computer to EPB’s existing quantum technology infrastructure. Through a partnership with IonQ, a global leader in quantum technology, the two companies will jointly develop the first U.S. quantum technology center to provide commercial access to both quantum computing and quantum networking resources.

For the seventh year, EPB’s ArtSpark Goes to School program continues to highlight the artistic talents of local high school students while beautifying Chattanooga and Hamilton County’s public spaces. Student artwork inspired by the theme "What Energizes You?" will soon be unveiled on 10 utility boxes across the city. With the completion of this year’s program, student artwork will be displayed on 68 utility boxes.

Starting this Saturday, April 12, Free Tree ReLeaf will distribute up to two free trees per household for EPB customers and City of Chattanooga residents while supplies last. The program, a collaboration between Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center, the City of Chattanooga and EPB, aims to preserve the area’s unique ecology, enhance stormwater management and provide expert advice on tree placement to prevent power outages.
