It can be found on an uninhabited island that is made up of thousands of basalt columns formed millions of years ago. This wild and desolate sea cave has attracted many famous visitors, including artists, musicians, poets and royalty over time. Although remote, it’s very easy to plan a visit to Staffa.

As the former home of Yves Saint Laurent, it’s become a pilgrimage for fashion and garden enthusiasts. The vibrant colours, plethora of cacti and exotic plants are also perfect for those who love photography. I’ve been twice, and this fairytale estate never ceases to amaze me.

This 16th-century Islamic school is regarded as a pinnacle of Moroccan architecture and a place that will transport you back in time. This is easily my favourite attraction in the city. It’s a marvel for its stunning design and cultural history. There are also endless photo opportunities for your camera roll.
