Gay star Jonathan Joss has been shot dead outside his former home in Texas. He was 59. San Antonio police officers tried “life-saving measures” but the actor, best- known for voicing John Redcorn in adult animation King of the Hill and for playing Ken Hotate in mockumentary Parks and Recreation, died at the scene on Sunday (1 June). Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja, thought to be a neighbour, has been charged with murder, according to Sky News.

Staff at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have reportedly been told they cannot celebrate Pride on the bureau’s time and only attend LGBTQ+ events in a “personal capacity”. In an email seen by Fox News, the FBI’s assistant director for public affairs Ben Williamson told staff he had received “several questions about the FBI’s stance on Pride Month and what related activities FBI divisions and employees should or should not participate in”.

West Ham United have been fined £120,000 for anti-gay chants carried out by its fans during the side’s match against Chelsea FC in February, the Football Association has confirmed. The huge fine – equal to more than $162,000 – relates the match between the two London sides at Stamford Bridge on 3 February, which ended with a 2-1 victory to the Blues and saw Hammers fans direct homophobic chants against Chelsea supporters.
