GRAVETTE, Ark — One person was killed and another injured after a car collided with a horse standing on the interstate in Gravette, according to a report by the Arkansas State Police (ASP). A crash report from ASP said the incident occurred on I-49 at the 99-mile marker at around 2:15 a.m. on June 5. Dona Smith, 77, was driving south on I-49 when she struck the horse before driving off the road and into a sign, killing her.
A 78-year-old male passenger was also injured in the crash.

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Walmart announced Thursday that its drone delivery service is expanding to five cities in the south and will soon be accessible to millions more customers. Drone delivery has been available in Bentonville and Dallas after first launching in 2021. Now it, will be available in Charlotte, Atlanta, Tampa, Houston, and Orlando.
The company said in a release on June 5 that the service will remain a key part of its effort to "redefine" retail.

LOGAN COUNTY, Arkansas — Two people have been arrested in connection with a crash that took the lives of two sisters in Logan County on May 30. Mackenzie and Maddie Arthur, two sisters from Scranton, were killed on May 30 after a car behind theirs pushed them across the centerline and into an oncoming semi-truck, according to a crash report.
On June 5, ASP explained in a release that the driver of the car that allegedly caused the crash was a 16-year-old boy traveling at over 150 mph.

CALICO ROCK, Ark. — A U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) unit has been deployed to Arkansas to help locate escaped prisoner and former police chief Grant Hardin. Hardin escaped from the North Central Unit in Calico Rock on May 25. He was serving an 80-year sentenced related to murder and rape in Benton County. A release from federal officials said a Border Patrol Tactical Unit (BORTAC) from the Rio Grande Valley had been deployed to Arkansas to help in the search for Hardin.
