Nintendo has finally given fans their first look at the successor to the Nintendo Switch console, dubbed the Nintendo Switch 2. Details on the console were given, including a release date window for the successor. The Nintendo Switch 2 will release this year in 2025, with a more in-depth presentation on the console set to take place on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. The system will be able to play Nintendo Switch 2 games as well as physical and digital versions of original Switch titles.

Raw Fury has revealed Ballionaire, an upcoming pachinko-based roguelike game, with a colorful new trailer and demo release. Developed by newobject, the title has players dropping balls in order to hit triggers and spawn additional balls. Doing this earns money, which is used to pay tribute to the “three Elders” — a group that challenges the player with tough Tribulations.

Though not as strong as past Mortal Kombat expansions, there’s good fun to be had in Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns, as it adds some very enjoyable new characters and features a story that is, at the very least, enjoyably ridiculous.

Square Enix has revealed the eclectic soundtrack of Life Is Strange: Double Exposure ahead of the game’s release next month, giving fans a peek at the music that they’ll hear in the title. The soundtrack is made up of several different artists, including dodie, Tessa Rose Jackson, and New Dad.

I’ve got a little experience with the SaGa series, so I was looking forward to trying out Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven at PAX West this past weekend. I had heard that the game being remade here is particularly great, which heightened my anticipation. I was incredibly impressed with what I played, as the title was excellent both conceptually and in its gameplay and presentation. I was immediately intrigued by the generational concept of Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven.

During my time with Square Enix at PAX West, I was able to play three different titles. One of them was Fantasian Neo Dimension – the most recent game by Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi. I went in knowing very little about the game due to its previous exclusivity to Apple Arcade and came away completely charmed by the enhanced version and its remarkably unique presentation style.

As a huge Power Rangers fan, one of the games I was most excited about that would be at PAX West was Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind. Beat-em-ups are one of my favorite game types, especially for multiplayer, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder’s Revenge showed just how well nostalgic franchises can pair with the genre. Digital Eclipse has done an excellent job with this one, as this is the Power Rangers game we should have gotten 30 years ago.
