Diep verontrust verliet ik het openingsconcert van festival SPRING in Utrecht, waar de Oekraïense band DakhaBrakha optrad. Met mijn vertrouwen in de kracht van kunst om conflicten constructief te transformeren hoopte ik op een concert dat zou oproepen een einde te maken aan de oorlog in Oekraïne, om het militair-industrieel complex te ontmantelen en de masculiene escalatie van het conflict – die een nucleaire ramp tot een zeer reële bedreiging maakt – aan de orde te stellen.
